The Immigration Process

An application for immigration to Canada requires a long and thorough process. You will have to compile all of the necessary documents, which must then be translated into English and notarized. If you do not provide all the necessary documents your package will be returned to you with instructions regarding its proper completion. The International Immigration Law Firm of Inna Kogan will make sure that this will not happen by assisting in the compilation of all the necessary documents.

A package of documents professionally prepared by a lawyer is substantially different from one compiled by an amateur. Each Embassy and Consulate has their own requirements, some of which are not publicized. The International Immigration Law Firm of Inna Koganwill ensure that your application is accepted, that all of its positive aspects are accentuated and cannot be missed, and that the less attractive aspects are presented in the most advantageous manner.

It is important to understand that you will not be able to change the information provided in your application once it is filed. Similarly, if you omit important information, its future addition can elicit a lack of trust on the part of an embassy employee. That is why every document and its contents in the original form and in translation must be carefully examined and considered before being filed. Only a person with experience and a working knowledge of the Canadian judicial system can properly organize all of the relevant information, taking into account those aspects that are most important to embassy employees.

When filing your application it is necessary to pay government fees for every member of the family as listed below:

1. For all types of immigrants other than business applicants:

Family Member When Applying Cost in CDN$   After the Interview Cost in CDN$
Main Applicant 550.00  490.00
Spouse  550.00  490.00

2. For business Immigrants:

Spouse 1050.00 490.00

After filing your application, the International Immigration Law Firm of Inna Kogan will regularly check to ensure that it is processed properly and not lost or forgotten.

Most of our clients go through their immigration process without a selection interview. If you are convoked, an invitation to attend an immigration interview usually arrives at least one month before the appointed date of the interview. Sometimes the invitation to the interview arrives only a few weeks prior to the interview, and preparations for the interview must be made quickly and efficiently. To successfully pass the interview it is necessary to know the English or French language well. If you are not confident in your ability to speak either English or French, you should begin taking the necessary language courses, as early in your application process as possible. A good mark on the IELTS test is extremely helpful.

Preparations for the interview will be conducted personally with the International Immigration Law Firm of Inna Kogan, who will answer all of your questions. You will receive, in written form, an approximation of the type of questions you are likely to be asked during the interview, as well as the appropriate answers. You will also be given detailed instructions on how to get to the interview, how to dress, and how to behave.

After a successful interview all members of your family will have to undergo a medical examination at the offices of a specially appointed doctor. You may also be asked to provide proof from a Canadian bank that you have a minimum amount of money needed for life in Canada during your initial stay in Canada. Our firm will open a separate account for you and will provide the necessary proof of funds from a Canadian bank, free of charge.

The International Immigration Law Firm of Inna Koganwill provide you with immigration law services of the highest standards expected in the West. You can be assured that you will be paying for legal services of the highest quality, expertise, and professionalism.
